How iLeyn works
The service lifecycle your shared organization runs in iLeyn.
Connected Apps: One Organization Across iLeyn, MitzvahManager, and TropeTrainer
iLeyn, MitzvahManager, and TropeTrainer are one product family built on a single shared backend. Your organization — its members and their access, and its settings such as chanted-text defaults — is the same organization in every app. Adding MitzvahManager or TropeTrainer to your synagogue does not create a separate account; it opens another app onto the organization you already run in iLeyn.
iLeyn, MitzvahManager, and TropeTrainer are not separate products you set up from scratch. They share one backend and one organization, so the synagogue you run in iLeyn is the same synagogue MitzvahManager and TropeTrainer see. Turning on another app simply gives your community a new way to work with the organization that already exists — nothing is duplicated, and there is no second account to keep in sync.
The people in your organization — and whether each is staff or an external leyner, a Member or an Administrator, a Tutor or a Service Coordinator — are one roster across every app. Add a member or change someone's access once and it applies wherever your organization appears. A tutor you designate for MitzvahManager is the same staff member who can leyn in your iLeyn services.
Because the organization is shared, so are its settings. Your chanted-text defaults — the calendar locale and Torah reading cycle — are configured once and apply in both iLeyn and MitzvahManager. This is worth knowing, because a setting like chanted text appears inside both apps and can look like two separate controls. It is not: editing it in one place changes the single shared value your whole organization uses, so there is no need to keep two copies aligned.
The one thing that is not shared is billing. Each app carries its own subscription, so a synagogue can subscribe to iLeyn, MitzvahManager, or TropeTrainer independently and pay only for what it uses. Everything else — your organization, its members and their access, and its shared settings — comes along automatically once an app is active. Adding an app is a billing decision, not a fresh setup.
Yes. They share one backend and one organization, so your members, their access, and your settings are the same across all three apps.
No. It is one shared value. Your chanted-text defaults are configured once and apply in both apps, so editing it in either place changes the same setting for your whole organization.
No. Adding an app opens another view onto the organization you already run. Your members and settings carry over automatically; only the subscription is specific to that app.
Only the subscriptions. Each app is subscribed to independently, while your organization, its members and access, and its shared settings are the same everywhere.
